Living in Las Vegas during the summer can be almost unbearable at times. With temperatures approaching 110+, sometimes you need to find some relief. We decided as a family to take a little camping trip. Our first in years. We asked a couple of other families that we are close to in our Ward to come along. Just under an hour from home is Mt. Charleston. We went to a little campground called Hilltop in Kyle Canyon. It is about 8300 feet and much cooler. Corey did some dutch oven cooking with BBQ chicken, potatoes and black forest cake all part of the menu and all three cooked in dutch ovens. A fun time was had by all. Thank you Stratton's and Calkins for making this a fun trip!!

Looks like fun! I miss going up to the mountains in Las Vegas during the winter and going sledding, we did that every winter that we were there.
How fun, I haven't been camping in forever! Are you guys heading up to Utah next week? I wish we were but we just got back to Kentucky :(
