I never really understood this strange holiday. Dressing up in costume attire, soliciting for "gobs and more gobs" of candy, the gateway to the inevitable increase in weight that is gained during the holiday season, which will negate the few pounds lost as a result from a long since forgotten New Years resolution, all to restart the cycle come the new year! BUT nonetheless the holiday is still loads of fun, especially with children.
The girls had a blast! After 2 trunk or treats and trick or treating, we made an offer to the girls. A small bribe if you will! Money was offered for the "gobs and more gobs of candy" and they graciously accepted our offer with conditions! They wanted to keep a couple of the "big" ticket items received during the festivities, which we agreed. Result: Healthier children and a monstrous load of candy for the Bishops/Clerks office!
