I was thinking that I needed to add some photos or something to our blog. So, I went to get the camera today since the girls have started swimming lessons and to my surprise I found a surplus of pictures of our backyard. Why not post a few pictures of "the yard" right?
One of the major things we have missed about living in Utah is the abundance of fresh food from the garden that always seems to be available during this time of year. I never thought it possible to grow much of anything in this heat. However, with the watermelon and strawberries that we grew last year we decided to give a few more plants a try. This we are going for Japanese cucumbers, spaghetti squash, honey due, watermelon, grapes, and of course more strawberries. So far the strawberries are growing like crazy and the kids love picking and eating them. Perhaps sometime down the road we will get daring enough and try growing corn. I'm sure nothing will compare to grandpa's corn.
